Recently, I need to setup a simple FTP Server for my local network (LAN) so that I can transfer file easily between local computers. I decided to use FileZilla to make this task easier. This post is written to give a simple guidance on how to make the FileZilla Server up and running on Windows. First thing first, lets download the installer from the official website and then follow the next steps.
Couple months ago, I can open the samsung ip (network) camera webviewer using chrome browser. However, we I try to open it today, it shows an installation/update issue.
Even if I have already downloaded and installed the webviewer plugin update, I was continously redirected to this webpage which is confusing. I have tried to google it but I cannot find any solution regarding this issue. But not until I realize that many korean companies love Internet Explorer so much. Maybe the webviewer plugin is only intended for Internet Explorer. So, I decided to launch my IE (which I rarely do) to open my IP camera admin page. However, the same issue still occurs. This time with a more specific message.
I use Evernote for PC in my daily note-taking activity. However, It hurts my eyes to look at its window due to the bright light intensity. And, I wouldn’t change my monitor setttings (brigthness/contrast) because its already perfect for me while using the other program. Since there is no official dark theme from Evernote, here is my workaround solution for those who need to use it in a “dark” theme.
Previously I’ve installed the phpmyadmin on my Ubuntu. but when I tried to open the homepage via http://localhost/phpmyadmin. 404 Not found shows up.
Then I checked the apache configuration in /etc/apache2/apache2.conf, unfortunately I found that the phpmyadmin was not included. Therefore I added the phpmyadmind configuration at the end of the apache2.conf file. Continue reading
Recently, I am trying to embed an image from my flickr account to one of my post. When i go to my flickr account and open one of my picture page, I can’t discover the exact link of my image. Then, using helper tool (firebug) I try to trace the element of my picture page. And taadaa… Finally, I can find it. Thanks firebug!
Actually, the url-format for embedding flicker image is as follow:
Just like the above image, my flickr user-id is 65150829@N02 and the picture id is 8053758291. Thus the complete url is as follow: https://www.flickr.com/photos/65150829@N02/8053758291
We can check our flickr-id using the following website: http://idgettr.com/
Yesterday, After severe errors had happened in My Computer. I couldn’t start my database instance and got this following error.
SQL*Plus: Release 220.127.116.11.0 – Production on Mon Nov 7 13:25:30 2011
Copyright (c) 1982, 2008, Oracle. All rights reserved.
SQL> SQL> ALTER DATABASE mount
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00204: error in reading (block 3, # blocks 8 ) of control file
ORA-00202: control file: ‘E:\APP\XXX\ORADATA\ORCL\CONTROL01.CTL’
ORA-27070: async read/write failed
OSD-04006: ReadFile() failure, unable to read from file
O/S-Error: (OS 23) Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
By checking the error stack that showed an O/S Error at the bottom line, I decided to use “Check Disk” Tool on Drive E:\ (where my oracle data was installed) to fix this error. Fortunately, by the time the process finished, I was able to start my database instance & not getting such error anymore. Lucky Me 😀
Note: Please remember, If you run the check disk tool your drive will be temporary unavailable.
